FOG BLOG WEATHER LOG: TROPICAL STORM NOT ENOUGH TO BE NAMED PLAYS HAVOC WITH MIAMI!

Tropical Rainstorm flooding creates chaos in Miami...Flooding from the Tropical Rainstorm's precipitation -- nearly a foot -- submerged streets and stranded cars in Miami on Saturday, the first weekend of meteorological summer. A tropical rainstorm that never organized enough to become the first name of the Atlantic hurricane season while impacting South Florida caused flooded roadways to impede drivers in Miami overnight Friday and into early Saturday. The waist-deep water left many fleeing from their vehicles to get to safety. Vehicles became stranded and by Saturday afternoon, the City of Miami towed the vehicles away from flooded areas. Miami is telling those whose vehicles were removed to call the Miami Police Department and inform them of the make and model of their vehicle and where it was left.
