FOG BLOG RIVER WATCH LOG: WATERS SUBSIDING IN FREDERICTON UP IN SAINT JOHN , WILL SUBSIDE THIS WEEK

RIVER WATCH THIS WEEK HAS GOOD NEWS FOR EVERYONE. LEVELS WHICH SHOWED SOME ROADS COVERED IN FREDERICTON AND PARKS NEAR THE RIVER IN JEMSEG AND GAGETOWN AND MAUGERVILLE COVERED WILL SUBSIDE THIS WEEK. FREDERICTON WHICH SAW LEVELS OF 7.6 M LAST WEEK WILL BE DOWN IN THE 6 M RANGE THIS WEEK , SAME IN THE AREAS MENTIONED ABOVE. SAINT JOHN WHICH BY THE PHOTO I TOOK LAST NIGHT AT A SMALL PARK ON THE SAINT JOHN RIVER AT THE END OF MAIN ST. NORTH SHOWED LEVELS ABOUT 1/2 METRE ABOVE NORMAL WITH SOME FLOODING IN THE DRIVE BESIDE THE PARK BUT NOT INUNDATING THE PARK. ALL LEVELS IN ALL SOUTHERN AREAS ARE EXPECTED TO START DROPPING TO NORMAL LEVELS THROUGHOUT THE WEEK! THERE IS SOMEWHAT OF A SNOWPACK STILL UP NORTH MORE TO THE EDMUNSTON AREA. IN THE COMING WEEK THIS WILL MELT WITH MILDER TEMPS AND A BIT OF A RISE EXPECTED WITH THE ADDITIONAL MELT BUT NOTHING LIKE WHAT HAS BEEN SEEN THE PAST 2 WEEKS!
