FOG BLOG RIDICULOG:RECYCLING- THE THANKLESS JOB! BEFORE CURBSIDE, YOU HAD TO GO TO BINS!

THE THANKLESS JOB! ......I know these days you are expected to recycle cardboard , cans, plastics etc. For decades though this was done here by taking bags to recycling depots and deposit items at a time through narrow slots and in the winter, your hands felt like they would fall off doing this! Not as much as a thank-you for doing this by the city. They could have sent out thank - you papers in the mail or better yet in the summer have a bbq to show the citizens how much they appreciated the time and effort put in . Finally , this fall we have curbside and it makes the job a lot easier, we though were way behind many other cities that have had curbside recycling for decades and some cities have you put garbage in on section and separated , cardboard, paper in plastics in another and garbage in another of the same receptacle , that makes it even easier What we had been doing was time consuming before curbside and having to spend the gas going from your home to wherever these bins would be in your area! Thanks City Of Saint John for putting curbside in place, something that should have been done over a decade ago and thanks for the No Thanks you gave us for the bin recycling we all had to do for decades that was a lot of work for everyone!
