NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR IS ELEVATED TO ALERT LEVEL 5 WITH THE PAST COUPLE OF DAYS RUNNING AROUND 200 CASES AND A NEW 26 TODAY! ......Earlier in the week, when we started this blog about the most recent COVID-19 outbreak, the lead-in noted things are progressing quickly, but even then, we couldn't have anticipated how quickly things can change. On Friday night, in the space of an hour, we learned the entire province was returning to Alert Level 5 after confirmation a highly-contagious strain of the virus had been spreading in the metro St. John's region, and that the provincial election, which had originally been set for today, was being changed drastically:
