FOG BLOG NEW BRUNSWICK LOG: INDIGENOUS PEOPLES WEEK, ST. MARY'S 1ST NATION POW WOW, FREDERICTON!

Sitansisk (St. Mary’s First Nation) Pow Wow Come hear the drum beat of Mother Earth and listen to the voices of the ancestors of the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) people as they share their culture through music, dance and traditional ceremonies.

Powwow is a wonderful time to reconnect with old and new friends.

Grand Entry starts at 12PM on both Saturday and Sunday.

It’s highly recommended that you arrive early and bring a lawn chair.

The Pow Wow’s Lady Head Dancer is Kyana Kingbird and Male Head Dancer is Paskwawmostosis Lightning. Both have danced, gathered and supported our Powwow's throughout the years.

Host Drum Groups: Northern Cree and Young Spirit

There will be many vendors selling Native crafts. Also check out “Sacred Arts” a block away on the reserve at 150 Cliffe Street.
