FOG BLOG NB COVID 19 ROUNDUP LOG: 19 NEW CASES, 0 IN SAINT JOHN, 10 IN MOCTON AND 9 IN EDMUNDSTON:

WITH RECORD CASES LATELY, THE COUNT IS STILL UP AT THE END OF THE WEEKEND BUT BELOW 20, THERE ARE NONE TO REPORT HERE IN SAINT JOHN ALTHOUGH EDMUNDSTON REMAINS IN LOCKDOWN AND HAS 9, THERE IS A BREAKOUT IN A WORKPLACE IN MONCTON ACCOUNTING FOR THE 10 THERE.......Parts of New Brunswick are reporting fewer cases of COVID-19 recently, but numbers remain high in the Moncton and Edmundston health zones.

The province announced 20 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, mostly in those areas.

Dr. Jennifer Russell, the province's chief medical officer, said there have been about 48 cases in the Moncton area, or Zone 1, in the last seven days. Of those cases, 12 are related to travel and many others are close contacts.

There are five people hospitalized with the virus across the province with two in intensive care. The latest numbers bring the total number of active cases to 334...
