FOG BLOG ENTERTAINMENT LOG: DUSTIN DIAMOND (SCREECH, SAVED BY THE BELL) DEAD AT 44!

DUSTIN DIAMOND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A VERY AGGRESSIVE FORM OF MALIGNANT LUNG CANCER AND HAS DIED AT THE AGE OF 44...the actor best known for his portrayal of Samuel (Screech) Powers on the original Saved By the Bell series, has died at age 44 from lung cancer.

“We are saddened to confirm Dustin Diamond’s passing on Monday, February 1st, 2021 due to carcinoma,” read a statement from his representatives to ET Canada.

“He was diagnosed with this brutal, relentless form of malignant cancer only three weeks ago. In that time, it managed to spread rapidly throughout his system; the only mercy it exhibited was its sharp and swift execution. Dustin did not suffer. He did not have to lie submerged in pain. For that, we are grateful.”
