Terry Fox run goes virtual for a second year.......this report is from Toronto.....Torontonians can take on the Terry Fox run from anywhere this year as the event goes virtual for the second year in a row.

This year marks the 41st annual Terry Fox run, and the Terry Fox Foundation has been finding innovative ways for supporters to run from anywhere and donate virtually.

The event, named “One Day. Your Way.” allows Canadians to choose where and how they would like to support the fight for cancer research. They can choose how and where they would like to walk, be it in their own backyard, a hiking trail, a bike ride around town or with a small organized group.

“We want people to really just define what it is that they’re going to do that makes it feel like a special Terry Fox day for them,” said Michael Mazzo, Executive Director of the Terry Fox Foundation.

Donations have mostly gone virtual this year. The Terry Fox Run mobile fundraising app is available to download from the Apple App Store or Google Play, or supporters can text to donate by texting ‘Terry’ to 45678.
