Fog Blog Riverwatch 2020: Cool Days Means Minor Flooding This Year:
RECENTLY, THE FLOOD SITUATION IN NEW BRUNSWICK IS MINOR COMPARED TO THIS TIME LAST YEAR. ....THERE HAVE BEEN COOL NIGHTS AND BELOW NORMAL HIGHS DURING THE DAY.....ESPECIALLY UP NORTH WHERE THE OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES HAVE REACHED A BONE CHILLING -15C. ....THERE HAS BEEN SOME FLOODING ALONG THE SAINT JOHN RIVER NEAR FREDERICTON AND JEMSEG BUT NOTHING COMPARED TO THE LAST 2 YEARS......IF IT CONTINUES WE MIGHT ESCAPE THE WORST OF IT THIS YEAR.......I TOOK A DRIVE IN SAINT JOHN TO THE LOWER NORTH END WHERE THE LITTLE PARK ALWAYS FLOODS.......WATER LEVELS THERE ARE MOSTLY NORMAL AND MAYBE A SLIGHT ELEVATION........WITH FINGERS CROSSED....BECAUSE WE HAVE ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH!
