IN THE WORLD JUNIORS THIS YEAR.....CANADA PULLED IT OUT BLANKING FINLAND AND NOW WILL PLAY FOR GOLD AGAINST RUSSIA........THE BRONZE GAME WILL BE DECIDED BETWEEN FINLAND AND SWEDEN!......Canada vs. Finland results: Canadians will play for gold after blanking Finland in the Semi-finals......With the demons of last year’s quarterfinal loss to the Finns hanging over their heads, this year’s Canadian squad quickly put that disappointing game behind them — and in commanding fashion — with a 5-0 win over Finland.Before you could even blink, Canada was up 3-0 as Connor McMichael, Alexis Lafreniere and Jamie Drysdale buried the puck past Finnish netminder Justus Annunen in the first four minutes. Drysdale, who spent time as the extra defenseman in the tIournament, was slotted into the top three pairings when Bowen Byram could not play after warmups due to illness.
