Moncton breaks Guinness World Record, supporting Beausejour Family Resource Centre in the process!

Totaling a distance of 7,435.57 metres (24,394.9 feet), Moncton has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest line of banknotes — thereby raising $251,030 — all in support of the Beauséjour Family Crisis Resource Centre! In a press release from Medavie: The record was broken with $251,030 — a total of 50,206 five-dollar bills strung continuously together, end-to-end, for a total distance of 7,435.57 metres. The bills were put together on the ice surface of the Avenir Centre. Setup began at 3am with volunteers laying the bills in continuous rows in a snake formation!
