I KNOW IN GENERAL ....NO FRILLS IS A GOOD STORE AND HERE IN SAINT JOHN NB......IT IS A GREAT AND STRONG ANCHOR FOR THE FLOUNDERING LANCASTER MALL....WHICH HAS SEEN ITS FAIR SHARE OF CLOSINGS OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS BUT WHEN I WENT IN RECENTLY AND SAW THE REVAMPED LUNCHEON MEATS AREA I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE THE PEPPERONI CHUB THAT USUALLY AT $3.99 JUMP TO $ 5.OO, i WAS SHOCKED! ITS STILL THE LOWER PRICE AT THE NORTH END SUPERSTORE.....BOTH ARE LOBLAWS INC STORES. Why would the discount grocery store have a 25 per cent increase over a regularly priced one. Another example from a few years ago saw Sunlight detergent , powder , concentrated ......sold at No Frills for $5.99 but at Super Store for $5.97.....wow a whole 2 cents cheaper??? Really. No Frills has good specials but so do other stores.....I've seen this week's flyer. I know they have the 'Won't Be Beat' slogan. You have to show a flyer or maybe the 21st century way, show a pic on a cell phone of a cheaper price but why don't you take the frill out of the bill and put a cheaper price to begin with No Frills!!
