TRISTON REECE WAS IDENTIFIED AS VICTIM OF THE HALIFAX DRIVE BY SHOOTING RECENTLY!......The young man killed in a Halifax shooting Friday is being remembered as a kind soul and an elite athlete.

Triston Reece, 19, died early Saturday morning from injuries sustained in a Friday afternoon shooting on Scot Street in the city’s west end.“Words can’t do this young man justice,” stated a Facebook post from the Citadel High School Phoenix football team, with whom Reece was a former all-star defensive lineman.“He was a loving son, a leader, a kind soul, an elite athlete, a great teammate, an all-star, a champion, and a young man with the brightest of futures.”Dale Russell responded on Facebook to the Phoenix post.“There are no words for losing your heartbeat and greatest gift from God a mother could have,” Russell wrote. “I am so grateful and overwhelmed by the love and kindness from family and friends and the amazing amount of people who loved my son.“Triston was my hero! His way, his wisdom and that miĺlion-dollar smile will live on. To all the young men and women that knew and loved my son, I challenge you as Triston would to embrace his determination, to reach for that dream or goal that will make him smile from heaven. We will not allow the way Triston was ripped from this life to define him. Let’s let the way he lived and loved the game of football, Jesus and his family and friends define him.”
