'WHERE ARE THE TOTALLY SELF SUFFICIENT ELECTRIC CARS?'.......................A FEW WEEKS AGO , NEW BRUNSWICK WAS BRAGGING ABOUT HAVING THE BIGGEST NETWORK OF CHARGING STATIONS IN THE COUNTRY FOR ELECTRIC CARS BUT THEY ARE NOT AROUND THE CORNER FROM ALL OF US! THIS MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO RECHARGE HAVING TO TRAVEL TO THE TOWN CENTRE OR MANY MILES TO GET TO ONE AND WAIT 20 MINUTES FOR A CHARGE AS OPPOSED TO A COUPLE OF MINUTES TO GAS UP......SOLUTION......CARS WITH NEW AND IMPROVED MOUNTED SOLAR PANELS ON THE ROOF TO RESEMBLE A SUN ROOF.The downside apparently is that there is not enough power to be generated. Ford says they are ready to unveil a concept car that will should debunk this and make an electric car truly self sufficient. They have shown on some science shows that the newer solar panels are almost 10 times more efficient and powerful smaller , thinner more powerful output. My idea is that the new solar panel could be installed and charges up one set of batteries while you drive using the power of another and when it exhausts it just switches . This would automatically transpire and only warn you on your display if there is an error or breakdown of the system. Hopefully the charge would give you 100 km before switching to the other set .. Time for a bit more freedom with electric cars then we might see more on the road~!
