Fog Blog Maritime Christmas Stories Log:

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN ....THE CHRISTMAS SEASON....TIME FOR SOME FEEL GOOD STORIES AND BECAUSE THIS IS THE FOG BLOG.....OUR FIRST STORY IS FROM SAINT JOHN!......INTRODUCING NANCY MEEHAN...WOW WHERE TO START, NO NOT HER LIFE'S STORY BUT WHERE TO START WITH ALL OF HERE CHRISTMAS DECORATING INSIDE HER HOME. THIS STORY AIRED ON THE NEWS LAST YEAR AND MY JAW DROPPED. IT'S SO CHRISTMASSY ....YOU WOULD WANT TO LIVE THERE AND NEVER BE BORED. ......Nancy Meehan’s home is filled with thousands of Christmas items acquired over 25 years......The outside of Nancy Meehan's home is decorated just like any other home on her street for the Christmas season. But inside, the halls are so decked, it's impossible to forget which holiday she's celebrating.Over the years, Meehan has added to her collection of animatronic musical dolls, snowglobes and decorations.Every year on Nov. 12, she clears space for the hundreds of items, which includes fancy china to toys. About 25 Christmases ago, her son gave her a model of a small town. Now, her collection has ballooned to over 140 models......It's a collection so large, Meehan's husband Keith had to build special shelves to hold everything. Along with other individual pieces, such as ice rinks and figures, there are easily over 1,000 items inside.Odds are pretty high the collection will continue to grow. But with what, she doesn't exactly know."I don't know, Christmas isn't here yet" Meehan said with a laugh.
