IT WAS REASSURING TO SEE THE CHRISTMAS BELLS GO UP ON THE POLES DOWN MAIN ST. ON WEST SIDE IN TIME FOR THE SAINT JOHN WEST PARADE. THE LANCASTER PARADE IS TOMORROW! MEANWHILE LAST WEEK IT WAS THE UPTOWN SAINT JOHN PARADE AND THERE WERE NO CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS OR LIGHTS ON THE POLES ON EITHER MAIN NORTH OR LANSDOWNE AS PICTURED HERE IN OTHER YEARS. We all like the decorations , its a part of Christmas and the parade.The decorations are breathless in the Square uptown and on King but people who lined Main North and Lansdowne may have wanted the decorations on the poles like we are all used to seeing. I think Saint John could have put them up like in other areas in town but the North part of the city is forgotten I guess. Last year the 'Noel' lights as pictured here were no where to be seen and now both that and on Main North are gone. Saint John, next year please put up the lights.....you changed over to LEDs to save money ....you can afford the lighting cost. Let's see these lights back next year and we won't have to speak of it again on the.....Ridiculog!
