THIS WEEK'S RIDICULOG IS BORN OUT OF HAVING BEEN TOLD 15 MONTHS AGO AFTER GETTING A NEW CAR.......YOU GOT YOURSELF A SOLID CAR WHICH WILL NEED ALMOST NOTHING AT ALL TO STICKER IT!! THAT WAS APRIL' 2017! My Mother and I jointly own the car. The amount it needed to sticker it was about $200. We went back to the used dealership. The car was sold as is, hence the trip to Coast Tire. In July it cost over $1000. as they said ...we need tires. This is fine....as is right, but the onus was on them to let us know or we would have considered repairing the old car , also a Chev. Impala. Including next Wednesday's apt. which should have not been necessary because of the fact that if they would have found the problem with the wheels off, they would have fixed everything on Tuesday. Long story short....more shop time, more money and the car costing almost $7000. and $3000. worth of repair in the last 15 months to through the stickers on , we might have thought of spending $3000. worth on the old car. The NB government was thinking of going every 2 years for inspection but the garages made a stink about it! Ontario has no safety as far as I know and other provinces do fine with an every 2 year system. I think this is all a money grab for the garages and the government of NB! Maybe there should be changes in order to move this Ridiculog out of the repair shop!
