THIS WEEK ITS ALL ABOUT THE HIGH COST OF DENTAL CARE! I UNDERSTAND THAT THE DENTIST AND SUPPORTING STAFF HAVE TO BE PAID AND MAKE MONEY AND THERE'S OVERHEAD TOO, BUT THESE DAYS IT SEEMS LIKE ITS DENTAL CARE FOR THE RICH! I KNOW YOU CAN PURCHASE FROM BLUE CROSS ETC...PLANS TO HELP DEFRAY COSTS! I THINK THOUGH THAT PEOPLE WITH LOW INCOMES FALL BETWEEN THE CRACKS! CERTAIN JOBS CAN'T AFFORD THEIR EMPLOYEES A GOOD PLAN EITHER!......Therefore it leaves certain groups of people in a lurch! Good dental health equals good health altogether! Sometimes poison from infected gums and teeth can lead to heart problems! I know it would be a cost but with other measures the government takes with the public to ensure good health with tests etc.....maybe helping the general public with regular dental visits would go a long way with our over all health. My Mom's friend had an xray lately and it cost her $200.00, that is outrageous! This was one cost to have a false implant put in. The over all cost for this one implant could cost her over $1200.00. Going forward everyone should have the chance at good dental care, or the next tooth ache could lead to a visit to the Ridiculog!
