DID YOU KNOW THERE WAS A SPECIAL GAS TAX PUT IN PLACE BY THE NB GOVERNMENT WHEN THE PRICE OF A LITRE OF GAS WAS HOVERING AT $ 1.00?? THE GALLANT GOVERNMENT SAW THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHARGE THIS TAX BECAUSE , THE LOW PRICES WOULD SEE A MINIMAL IMPACT THE TAX WOULD HAVE ON THE MOTORING PUBLIC! THAT WAS THEN , NOW AT PRICES SURGING TOWARDS A $1.30 A LITRE AND ABOVE , WE ARE ALL WONDERING LIBERALS.....WOULD YOU CONSIDER REMOVING THIS TAX THAT MANY DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT WHEN IT WAS IMPLEMENTED ?? THE ANSWER ACCORDING TO A REPORT IS ....NO....!! Mr. Gallant, there is an election this fall....remember!! I think that dropping this tax that probably brought in mucho tax dollars would go along way to appease the public!! Think about this as a platform of re-election. Promising to remove this tax and say dropping the price of a litre of gas by 5 cents or more! The government will do what they do and you'll be sure that this issue will be revisited on the platform of a future.....RIDICULOG!!
