IT IS AMAZING HOW MUCH MONEY THE NEW BRUNSWICK GOVERNMENT WASTES CHANGING NAMES OF PROGRAMS TO BECOME GENDER NEUTRAL ETC, FROM MEMOS TO THEIR OFFICE SIGNAGE TO SIGNAGE ON BUILDINGS ETC....DO THEY ALSO WASTE MONEY ON WHO THEY HIRE TOO?? THE TOPIC ON THIS WEEK'S RIDICULOG!....My girlfriend lives on Somerset St. in Saint John NB's North End and recently the set of buildings were purchased by a company out of Toronto. One of the first things they did is institute a no smoking policy. The notice is very simple.....comply or be evicted! The notice in the entrance to the building is very snarky in its wording! Big outfit from out of town huh!!....Both my girlfriend and I decided to call the Residential Tenancies Tribunal, formerly known as the Rentalsman, much easier to say! The lady I talked to said they can do this without notice and compliance is immediate ! The person my GF talked to said that there should be a notice that gives you 3 months before it goes into affect. The one that is correct is the latter.....but what does that tell you about the employee that mentioned no notice of 3 months.....I even mentioned ....do you need to give a notice of a period of time and she said no! Obviously this is right down the middle of her job description regarding questions one would ask regarding tenancy ! Does she need retraining? I think both questions should have been answered the same! When its important to finding out rules regarding your tenancy, you want questions answered properly and accurately or the Tenancy Tribunal might be evicted right onto the .....Ridiculog!
