THIS WEEK ITS ALL ABOUT THE SAINT JOHN RESIDENTIAL WATER RATES....ITS A STORM OF BILLS, THAT GIVES NEW MEANING TO MARCH MADNESS! MY MOM RECEIVED HER WATER BILL, CAR STICKER RENEWAL AND POWER BILL ONLY 2 DAYS APART, THEY TOTAL ALMOST $2000.OO DOLLARS AND THERE IS LESS THAN THAT TO DO THE BILLS! This years water bill is up again.....it is almost $1400.00, $ 675. of that due in a week and a half! My Mom's friend up in Sault On. pays less than $500. per year! This is outrageous and especially low income and seniors are hardest hit! Something has to be done. For land taxes at tax time there is a credit you can apply for , same for power.....c'mon Saint John Water , your high rates, you need to help customers especially seniors , they are for the most part drowning in debt. We need to get together on this and get something done to help take the edge off of these skyrocketing rates or the water rate issue will stream back onto the Ridiculog!
