The official title is Saint John Festival of Sail and runs from Aug. 18th to 20th/17.This summer the Saint John Waterfront will play host to the Saint John Festival of Sail – a three day event that will see stunning tall ships from around the world, drop anchor in the Port City. We’ve partnered with Rendez-Vous 2017 and Sail Training International to bring this world-class event to Saint John., where people can catch a glimpse, and even step aboard, some of the most majestic ships from around the world.Picture a full kilometre of ships lining the Saint John waterfront. The full complement of tall ships includes six “Class A” tall ships – think multiple-mast, square-rigged vessels, as well as ships that measure over 40 metres (131 ft) in length.There’s no better way to celebrate the 150th anniversary of confederation in Canada’s first incorporated city than by honouring our heritage as the birthplace of tall ship construction in Canada.Join us for three days of family fun and celebrations on the Saint John Waterfront.
