IN UPTOWN SAINT JOHN RIGHT BESIDE THE IMPERIAL THEATRE, IRVING IS CURRENTLY BUILDING ITS WORLD HEADQUARTERS, SO IT CAN HOUSE IN ONE BUILDING ALL EMPLOYEES CURRENTLY SCATTERED THROUGHOUT THE UPTOWN. The exciting thing about this building is that they chose to build it to fit into the classic architecture of the uptown. They are building the headquarters in the Art Deco style. The artist's rendering is below. From what this reporter sees going uptown is that it matches the rendering to a T. The building is really coming along. When I get a chance , I will try to take some photos of it to post here. In the meantime , it is exciting to see a structure built in the 21st century that will reflect the Art Deco architecture. The Art Deco time period that encompassed art, architecture of buildings interior and exterior ran from the 1920s to 1940. Can't wait for the unveiling!
