KUDOS GOES OUT TO BOB JONES OF CBC SAINT JOHN....FOR BREAKING THE STORY OF UNFAIR PROPERTY TAX ASSESSMENTS IN NEW BRUNSWICK! Saint John MLA , Dorothy Shephard sees red flags here! Robert Jones brought the story to light recently and has been reporting on it ever since. It has become a real headache for Brian Gallant's government and an nightmare for the thousands that received a higher assessment , therefore a higher tax bill, in some cases reports Bob at 50%! I guess the question is...whether or not this is just an error in a new computer algorithm combined with aerial photos to determine tax assessments and has gone wild or was it kept quiet and done purposely to line government coffers?? There was a yellow sheet in with the tax bill, my Mom got one: to let people argue for a new and fairer assessment! Luckily my Mom's assessment was right on the money. I along with the opposition and even Bob encourage those to fill out the form if the assessment is high!My heart goes out to those who's bill is a nightmare!

However it turns out , you know that Bob Jones will be on the story and will help uncover the mess with hopeful resolutions to come! Hats off to Robert Jones for enlightening New Brunswick residents to this debacle!
