SCOTSBURN / POPSICLE PLANT TORN DOWN ON THURSDAY ENDING ANOTHER ERA IN SAINT JOHN!.....Scotsburn took over operations from Baxter Foods ltd. in 2001 but production there had gone on for decades! Demolition took place Thursday after it was learned only weeks ago that Commercial Properties had bought the property. They own property on both sides , so they thought it would be a good fit to have that one! There is no word at this time on whether there would be development on the site. David Goguen was watching from a parking lot above near by as the demolition went on, he had to be there he said....he worked there for 40 years!
